There is no better way to soak up the atmosphere and culture of a city than listening to some exciting live music in good company. But live music isn’t limited to enthusiastic tourists. It is always fun to listen to some new local talent and relax in a spot serving great food and drink. Which is why we’ve compiled this list of our favourite local live music venues in South London.
Lewisham Park Crescent Residents' Assosiation formally invite you to a special, one-off concert by the legendary and international celebrated classical pianist, Stephen Kovancevich performing an intimate arrangement of Bach’s Partita No.4 in D Major, on the 19th of May at St. Mary the Virgin church in Ladywell, Lewisham. The event is to support the maintenance of the local park and support homelessness in the area through the St. Mungo’s charity.
Lewisham might not be the first place Londoners would consider for quality live music but the borough that Kate Bush grew up in and where Blur famously formed at Goldsmiths University of London, is a haven for fine talent as well as home to venues that artists from across the rest of the country, and world, have played in.
