Balham Summer Market: Pride Special

Balham celebrate a sunny Pride month this year, giving a burst of colour to their summer market. Local traders sell their incredible products, including homeware and fashion. The tombola has unique and hand-crafted prizes, making this event a fantastic way to support your local craftsmen.

This summer festival runs during every weekend in June and is filled to the brim with exciting activities for all the family to enjoy. It hosts the ever popular outdoor cinema, showing blockbuster hits like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse (2018) and Moana (2016). With scrumptious street food on offer, this park will become a quick family favourite this summer.
Screen on the Green by Beckenham Together
5th - 14th July 2019, Beckenham Green, Beckenham High Street
Held from midday till 10:30pm, Screen on the Green will become an entertainment hub this July. It will be showing Wimbledon Tennis and family friendly movies all afternoon and evening, so there is something that everyone will enjoy. Recent movies that have been announcement are Grease (1978) and the smash-hit The Greatest Showman (2017).
Beckenham Place Park Relaunch

Take a dip in the lake and cool off this summer at the highly anticipated Beckenham Place Park Relaunch! In Lewisham’s largest park, you’ll be able to go swimming in the beautiful lake and go for a spin on a wide selection of fairground rides. You’ll also be able to check out the brand new cafe, which is sure to be serving up some delicious food and drink. After work began on the refurbishment in 2017, summer 2019 celebrates the return of this beloved park.
6th July 2019, Southwark Park
Despite this festival only lasting a day, Bermondsey manage to fill this day with a fantastic range of activities and events. The most notable is the bandstand, featuring locals acts such as The Real Thing and Kindred Soul. There are also lots of activities to entertain the little ones this summer holidays, including a creative den building workshop and ‘Kids Dig it’, an interactive experience where kids can have a got at being archaeologists and discover what’s below Southwark’s streets.
13th - 14th July 2019, Blackheath
With a fantastically star-studded line up ahead, you’ll be sorry to miss this years ONBlackheath Festival. Winner of the BRIT Award for ‘Best Single of the Year’ with ‘Human’, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man is just one of the exciting music acts set to perform. There will also be lots of fun activities for kids too, with a Comedy Club 4 Kids and The Science Museum presents Samsam Bubbleman’s Giant Bubble Show!

Summer of Love: Brixton Rooftop Festival by Strum Live

Summer of Love is a 60s inspired festival, perfect for any South Londoner that loves Throwback Thursdays. Putting a San Francisco twist on Brixton, this festival provides a funky disco to dance into the night and live performances from acts including Danny Toeman & The Love Explosion and Meatz & Beatz.

This wide-spread festival covers over 20 locations and is host to an incredible line-up of events and activities. Its opening night kicked off with a series music acts spanning a range of genres at Foxberry Road. Other events include Crofton Park Railway Garden Grand Opening and Electric Watermelon, an LGBT+ dance party where everyone is welcome!
