Taproom SE8 is an independent brewery taproom in Deptford, South East London. Owned and managed by Hop Stuff brewery (Woolwich, SE18), Taproom SE8 (Deptford) offers a comfortable, convenient space in which to sample a range of Hop Stuff and local craft beer.
Choose from Hop Stuff's reputed four core beers, or their seasonal tipples - each one steeped in local history, tradition and taste. Their 'Four Hour Session' IPA, for example, is not only brewed at Woolwich's historic Royal Arsenal, where ammunition and artillery were made for WWI and II, but is named after those who worked hard to fuel Britain's war effort. These men and women worked so hard that they were permitted four hours in which they could relax at the local pub during their extended shifts, thus boosting morale whilst ensuring they didn't get too intoxicated that they wouldn't be able to work afterwards.
Expect ambience, amiable beer lovers and a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. To eat, feast on one of nine freshly baked pizzas, complete with an unusual assortment of tantalising toppings including: spicy n'duja sausage, crispy sage, truffle oil and fennel pork, amongst others. Salivating yet?
