Sewing and Craft Superstore is an independent haberdashery and fabric shop in Balham, South West London. With two enormous floors packed full of craft materials, the Sewing and Craft Superstore is the largest independent haberdashery in London.
Incredibly, the business is still run by the same family; the Rushtons, who opened a haberdashery back in 1946.
The team at Sewing and Craft Superstore stock an enormous range of dress making, crafting and quilting fabrics, alongsids 12,000 patterns from McCalls, Butterick, Vogue, Simplicity, Burda, New Look and Kwik Sew.
On top of that, they also sell, service and repair new, used and industrial sewing machines on site.
If you're into knitting, you need not look anywhere else for your yarn, patterns, needles and other equipment. In terms of general haberdashery, expect needles, threads, buttons, ribbons, bias binding, scissors, pins... the list goes on!
The team also stock upholstery fabric and even have a dedicated bridal section. Look deep enough and you'll even find cake-decorating equipment, synthetic plants and flowers, children's craft toys, jewellery making equipment and much more!
