Pop-up Cocktail Bar In Peckham
The Donkey Sanctuary is an independent pop-up cocktail bar with a temporary residency at The White Horse pub in Peckham, South London. This exciting new venture, a partnership between local entrepreneur Chris Lawes & the team at The White Horse, is set to bring something different to Peckham and to this incredible community pub.
Having previously managed the bars both at Peckham Springs and Bar Story, Chris has spent quite some time pouring drinks in Peckham's most popular hang-outs. Now, he wants to bring something entirely new to the Peckham drinking scene; professionally made cocktails. That means fresh ingredients & garnishes; home-made syrups; freshly squeezed and pressed juices; premium spirits and expert knowledge, skill and experience. And yes, if you want a cocktail that's not on the menu, Chris's close-knit team of local mixologists are more than capable -and perfectly willing- of producing it for you.
Be sure to try their signature cocktail and namesake; "Donkey Punch" for a shot-sized kick of something deliciously warming. Or, on a Sunday, look no further than their Bloody Mary; unsuitable for vegetarians, it's slowly heated through for two hours before being chilled for an hour prior to being served. It's by far the best in South London (challengers welcome!).
