Parlez - Restaurant in Brockely
Parlez is an independent local restaurant in Brockley, South East London.
Think back to the year that Donald Trump won the US general election and one of Britain's most iconic music legends, Bowie, sadly passed away. In this same year, Parlez was born. A thin beam of light in an increasingly dark world.
A place to relax, eat delicious, freshly cooked yet unpretentious food and converse with friends and neighbours alike. Founders Matt and Louis share a love for the good old British pub, but feel that many pubs have lost their way in the modern world of big corporate interests.
Having identified what it is local people love most about a place to meet up, eat and drink, the pair wanted to reintroduce those key tenets of a great local hang-out and came up with Parlez; an eatery where the atmosphere is best shared with friends, the food is seasonal, local and home-cooked, the drinks are kept flowing and the music is tasteful and chosen well.
