London Sculpture Workshop is an independent sculpture studio in Woolwich, South East London.
London Sculpture Workshop (LSW) offers exceptional facilities for artists and those interested in making three dimensional work. Located within Thames Side Studios, LSW has superbly equipped metal and wood workshops, ceramic kilns, mould making and hot-metal facilities.
Established in 2012 by artists Giles Corby and Jessica Mello, who trained at RCA and Slade, all workshops and courses are run by practicing artists. In 2013 and 2014 LSW was awarded the Chelsea Arts Club Trust ‘Artist Run Space Award’. In 2016 LSW’s work was recognised and awarded a grant from the Mayor of London.
LSW offers short courses in a wide variety of technical and skill based processes which are available to book throughout the year. Their courses cover a wide range of skills including welding, casting, mould making and more. For more information and booking please click here.
LSW also operates a pay-as-you-go open access membership scheme, available on a Thursday and Friday between 9.30am - 1pm & 2pm - 5.30pm. Open-access is for anyone who has enough experience to work independently in the studio, any first-time user’s start their session with an induction, an overview of equipment and a review of health & safety procedures.
