Quaggy Community Choir - Choir in Lewisham
Quaggy Community Choir is an independent choir in Lewisham, South East London.
Based at the Parkside Community Centre, on the border between Greenwich and Lewisham, Quaggy Community Choir is a choir open to everyone. Focusing on an eclectic mix of songs with different styles, the song choices range from well known hits to unusual tunes, with the choir open to song suggestions.
Recently opened in 2017, the choir is hoping to, once a bit more established, head out into the community to do some shows.
The choir’s Musical Director is Jake Alexander. His career takes him in various directions as a cellist, percussionist, arranger, composer and musical director. Jake loves working with voices and sings and performs with the alt-folk group The Sea Kings
Everyone is welcome, no matter what age and what ability! There is no need to audition and no experience required - bring yourself, some enthusiasm and be ready to have fun!
