Good Hope PLACE Ladywell - Cafe In Ladywell

The Good Hope cafes were set up by the family and friends of Jimmy Mizen - a local teenager who was tragically murdered one day after his 16th birthday, in May 2008. The small group of cafés provide a place of work for local young people as well as a hub through which the community can run events, meet-ups and bring people closer together. The cafes also help to fund the For Jimmy charity's community work; creating Safe Havens across South London and working with schools to manage stress and violence among young people.

The café opened in 2016 and serves fresh coffee, teas, cakes, sandwiches and more and changing menu of specials. Situated near the top of Lewisham High Street, it is a welcome addition to the brunch scene in Lewisham.
