The Bookshop on the Heath is a local gem of a Bookshop located at the top of Tranquil vale, in Blackheath. With the picturesque slope of the village on one side, and the vast, open expanse of the Heath on the other, it could not be set in a more beautiful, fitting location.
The owner holds the belief that every bookshop should be able to stock a decent range of literature...and with shelves tightly packed and a book of some sort filling almost every space in the shop, the Bookshop on the Heath stocks a wealth of Literature.
The entrance room contains their antiquarian and fine bindings collection, poetry and children's books (modern and vintage). In the middle room, they have history, travel, detective and science fiction, religion and spirituality, together with psychic studies, mediumship and shamanism. Their back room is largely given to general fiction.
They also stock a selection of unique, collectable maps. In support of the strong sense of local community found in Blackheath, they try to maintain a stock of maps of local interest, as well as further afield. Some of the original hand-drawn copy's date back to the early nineteenth century!
